The Paleolithic Diet (The Paleo Diet)

So why is it that it seems that every cross fitter in the world has taken to the Paleo way of eating?

It's simple really, our ancestors didn't have a can opener to open their food or a fast food outlet to provide a convenient way of eating. Instead they were lean and strong machines who had the endurance to sustain hunting and gathering for days. Their diets consisted of wild plants and animals not food wrapped in plastic, found in a can or processed into a jar with 100 preservatives and sugars …. they were unprocessed, raw foods.

So exactly where did Paleo start? The Paleolithic diet (Paleo diet) is commonly referred to as the caveman diet, Stone age diet and the hunter – gather diet. It dates back to more than 10,000 years ago and has since become modernized to be called the "contemporary" Paleo diet consisting mainly of fish, grass-fed pasture raised meats, eggs, vegetables, fruit, fungi,roots, and nuts, and excludes grains, legumes, dairy products, potatoes, refined salt, refined sugar, and processed oils. 

It is said that you are what you eat!


Eating the Paleo way will reduce your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and most chronic degenerative diseases that affect people in the western world. It will assist you to:
